Ball Handling
One of the most basic building blocks in a player's development is ball handling or dribbling. For smaller players dribbling skills are essential to move around bigger players and create scoring opportunities. For taller players, ball-handling skills can be the difference between becoming a very good player and an excellent one. Having effective ball handlers is also a key for any team offense. Solid ball handlers are needed to run the fast break, set up the offense and avoid the defense, in other words, whether big or small, fast or slow, every player must develop ball handling skills. There are five basic dribbles that players should practice and learn to master.
The Science of Footwork
The game of basketball demands explosion and lightning quick movement, as well as deliberate movement of the ball and player. But the most important thing is footwork. If the feet and hands are not working effectively you cannot play. Shooting, playing defense, driving, pivoting, moving without the ball and rebounding are movements in which correct footwork is essential to complete the play. Drills used to develop correct footwork can be mastered in a minimum amount of time as long as they are done with maximum effort on an everyday basis. The more time you spend practicing these drills, the better player you will be. It is as simple as that.

I have developed a teaching method that can easily be adapted to meet the specialized requirements for your team and those players who may need individual attention. I never force a player into a particular form, I work on proper shot mechanics and through subtle changes, the corrective measures are incorporated into players style, emphasizing his or her strong points and overcoming shooting faults quickly.
